Type 2 A&b foundations
In sites when a higher FFL (Finished Floor Level) Is required to due Floodplains etc. and the site is TC3, a Type 2B Foundation or similar systems used since the Canterbury Earthquakes can be specified by Structural Engineer. The foundation typically comprises a raft of reinforced concrete with embedded H5 Timber piles to allow a more traditional timber subfloor foundation system.
This foundation while uncommon, we have expertise and work with builders to deliver this type of foundation.
